FarApp strongly discourages updating the SKU value on your products in NetSuite. Doing so can cause problems with order and product sync. If you must update the SKU value, follow the steps below to mitigate any potential side effects:
1. Set the item in NetSuite to inactive.
2. Change the SKU value on the inactive record to something invalid and not in use on a different product. Appending "removed" or "old" to the SKU will usually work. For example, if the original SKU value is "THISITEM" then change it to "THISITEM-removed".
3. Create a new item record with the new SKU value you would like to use.
