Using the eBay Dashboard

FarApp provides a dashboard for eBay that allows you to view the data for your eBay products. You can access the eBay dashboard with this link:https://adv.farapp.com/secure_eBayViewer.

Here are instructions on how to do the most common operations on the eBay dashboard:

Reload an item and post it to eBay:

  1. Open the left pane by clicking the “>>” button.
  2. Choose the correct account in “Current eBay Account” and click Save below.
  3. In the right pane, click “Find Item” and search by SKU or internal ID. If this is an eBay variation item, then you’ll want to search for the parent item. The child items can’t be posted individually because they get posted together as part of the variation item.
  4. Click the item in the list (any column should select it), and click “Map & Post Single Item” above. By default, this reloads all associated items from the backend (i.e. NetSuite) including matrix children (if it’s a matrix item) or kit components (if it’s a kit). This can take a few minutes and so you can safely ignore the time out error if you get one. To disable this default functionality, open the left pane again, click the Actions tab and uncheck “Load Item from NetSuite”. This will prevent reloading the items before posting them to eBay.

Post an item as a new listing (avoid relisting):

  1. Follow the instructions in the section above but instead of clicking “Map & Post Single Item” in step 4, you’ll click “Other Item Actions -> Post Item”. The option “Other Item Actions -> Force Post As New” will also create a new listing but it will post a new listing even if a listing currently exists so it can create duplicate listings and is not usually desired.

View the eBay posting errors for a specific item:

  1. Open the left pane by clicking the “>>” button.
  2. Choose the correct account in “Current eBay Account” and click Save below.
  3. In the right pane, click “Find Item” and search by SKU or internal ID. If this is an eBay variation item, then you’ll want to search for the parent item. Since the child items aren’t posted individually, all of the errors will be part of the parent item.
  4. Click the item in the list (any column should select it), and click “View Posting Errors” above.
  5. You should now be in the “eBay Posting Errors” section where you can see what the issues are with your item.

View the mapping data for a specific item:

  4. Click the item in the list (any column should select it), and click “Show Map Data” above.
  5. You should now see the mapped data for an item. This will show you:
    1. The data sent to post to eBay
    2. The log from our Mapper. This is useful for the FarApp team to check if there are any issues during the mapping process
    3. The mapped data values. This is useful for you if your item is reporting errors with data so you can see what NetSuite field you need to modify
    4. The Product Map. Also useful for you if your item is reporting errors with data so you can see what NetSuite fields you need to modify
    5. The Master Product Data. Shows the latest data for a product that we are pulling from NetSuite

Revise all listings after a mapping change:

  1. Open the left pane by clicking the “>>” button.
  2. Choose the correct account in “Current eBay Account” and click Save below.
  3. In the left pane, click the “Actions” tab.
  4. Click Revise All Items. This will go through all listings and revise them based on the current data and mapping so it can take a while to complete depending on how many listings you have.
