Quick Reference 6: Setting up a FarApp Sandbox Account

It is possible to connect your FarApp account to sandbox versions of your shopping cart/online store. To do so, please edit the connector details for the given connector. It is also possible to connect FarApp to your sandbox NetSuite account using the NetSuite Settings screen here: https://app.farapp.com/settings#/netsuite_settings

If you would like to setup a FarApp account to connect your NetSuite sandbox to sandbox versions of your stores, but your FarApp account is already connected to your production NetSuite and production site, you can create a second FarApp account to use as a sandbox environment. This is a good option if you want to always have a second FarApp account available for testing your syncs on your sandbox site and sandbox NetSuite. Please note that if you maintain a FarApp Sandbox account after you Go-Live with your integration or your connectors are already in production, then you will be charged for the FarApp sandbox account. 

In order to set up a FarApp sandbox account, please do the following:

  1. Create a new FarApp account by signing up for FarApp with a different email than your existing account. You can do this here: https://www.farapp.com/signup/.
  2. Add all the same connectors to this new account that you have in the your current account. However, you can connect this account to your sandbox NetSuite and the connectors can connect to sandbox sites.
  3. You can either a) manually connect your syncs and test them, or b) have FarApp clone your live/production account to your sandbox account.   4. Open a support ticket with FarApp and let us know which account is your production account and which account is your sandbox account.
